Hello and welcome to my blog. I created this so that I can share all that I have learned and all that I am in the process of learning about being a full time homemaker. I believe it’s a lost art, one that needs to be rediscovered. I love researching things and I will do the work and share what I find - to make the lives of you and your family better or improved in some way. I will try to help you save time, money, your health or the environment. As I come across things in my life I will share my successes with you to help you and your family. My focus will always be about family and what is important to the family. You won’t find gourmet recipes (unless they are easy), you will find things to make for your family that don’t break the bank buying ingredients or take you away from your family to spend 4 hours making it. I am trying to learn how to cook much healthier, both my husband and I are pre diabetic so we are changing our lifestyle. In the last 2 years we have started eating a whole foods plant based diet and seen great results. This is directed at the stay at home mother. If you are a stay at home dad - you are more than welcome. And if you are a mother who has to work to help support your family - I don’t hold that against you either. I DO believe that you should do everything you can, sacrifice as much as possible to stay at home and raise your kids. No one can raise your kids like you can. I gave up a fulfilling career as a firefighter, and the 3 degrees I earned to get me there, to be a stay at home mom. On one income we are struggling financially, at one point we had 4 people in a 1 bedroom apartment, and that is OK. I tell you this so that you know I am not someone who hasn’t been there. We are still working through it. I want to help you through it too. Together we will place the focus back on the family. One family at a time! Money matters less than family, whether you are rich or poor, let’s all focus on our families. Take what you can use from this site and make your life a better life! - Suzie
